Italian Eni says to study options to resume supplies from Gazprom

ROME, Oct 3 (PRIME) -- Italian oil and gas company Eni is studying ways to resume gas supplies from Gazprom through Austria, the Italian company said in a statement on Monday.

“In the next few hours, Eni intends to assess with the Austrian operator and Gazprom some options to unblock the supplies, but it is premature to provide details before the sides agree on their feasibility,” the statement read.

On October 1, Gazprom notified the company of its inability to pump gas to Italy through Austria because of denial of the Austrian operator to confirm transport nominations.
